BOOKFEST 2019: literature, stories and ideas
Margaret Atwood, Maja Lunde, Elif Shafak and Colson Whitehead will present their new books at a major literary gala on Saturday, 19 October 2019 at 7 pm. They will be supported by Bela B Felsenheimer and Nina Petri as German voices. On top, Ken Follett will present his campaign "The Friendship Tour". An unforgettable evening and just one of many extraordinary events at the fair‘s BOOKFEST festival.

Meet the participants of the Invitation Programme
The 20 participants of the Frankfurter Buchmesse Invitation Programme have been selected: Publishers from Africa, Asia, Arab Countries, Latin America and Eastern Europe will be part of this year´s programme. With the Invitation Programme Frankfurter Buchmesse and the German Federal Foreign office offer small independent publishing companies the chance to participate in the world's largest book fair. Meet this year's participants at the reception on Friday, 18 October, 12.30 am at stand A116 in Hall 5.1.
