With its Film Awards, the Frankfurter Buchmesse recognises outstanding literary adaptations for the screen. The submission process for the Best Adaption of a Book for Children or Young Adults is now open.
Film projects that may be submitted
• are based on a book for children or young adults
• were or are being produced during the current year and/or will be released not later than six months after the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2018
Submission deadline is 20 July 2018.

| Awarded in three categories for the first time
|
The Award ceremony will take place on Thursday, 11 October 2018, 6.00 – 7.30 pm, at THE ARTS+.
The prize is given in three categories: one for the adaptation of a literary work, the second for the adaptation of a book for children or young adults. And, starting from this year, a third category: the prize for the best-illustrated book on a film-related subject.

A Book is a Film is a Game will take place on Thursday, 11 October 2018, at THE ARTS+.
With this program the Frankfurter Buchmesse gathers professionals from the world of books, film, games and new media.
This year’s program is dedicated to new trends and developments in audio-visual storytelling including a special focus on series based on books.
