KATIE MELUA SETS THE PITCH FOR THE GUEST OF HONOUR 2018
 
The Handover Ceremony of the “GuestScroll” by France to Georgia on the Sunday of the Book Fair this year was the occasion for a moving performance. The Georgian-British musician Katie Melua performed a song in her mother tongue, giving the audience a vivid impression of the sound of the Georgian language. With the slogan “Georgia – Made by Characters”, the spotlight next year will be on the culture and literature of this country at the Frankfurter Buchmesse. SPAIN TO BE FBM 2021 GUEST OF HONOUR
 
The Frankfurter Buchmesse and Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, in the presence of the Spanish Publishers Association, have signed a joint memorandum of understanding to prepare for Spain’s participation as Guest of Honour at the Frankurter Buchmesse (20-24 October 2021). INTERVIEW WITH STORYDRIVE ASIA SPEAKER KRISTIN KLIEMANN
 
The second edition of StoryDrive Asia in Singapore (13-14 November 2017), the cross-media conference for publishers, authors, editors, and media producers, was a great success. The two days were packed with intensive exchanges, discussions as well as pitching and matchmaking sessions. Kristin Kliemann, who covered the conference topic of strategically trading rights, spoke with us about her thoughts on StoryDrive Asia, the region and the ideas that came up. THE ARTS+ 2017: 3,000 square metres featuring 54 exhibitors and 31 partners with innovative projects as well as 120 speakers from the creative industries, science and politics. Then apply for the Paris-Frankfurt Fellowship by 30 January 2018!
